- Introduction. This Privacy Policy discloses the policies of PickleX at www.picklex.io and its operator BITCODERS LLC, a Florida.LLC located at 3849 Karissa Ann Place East, Jacksonville, Florida.32223 (collectively "we" or "us") regarding the collection, use and disclosure of information that you (a "User") submit to us or that is collected through your use of PickleX.
- Location. PickleX is located in United States and is subject to United States's laws. If you are outside of United States, your use of the website constitutes consent to the transmission of personal information to United States. If your use of PickleX is against the laws of your jurisdiction, it is your responsibility to refrain from the use of PickleX.
- Types of Personal Information Collected. "Personal information" is data that identifies, relates to, describes, can be used to contact, or could reasonably be linked directly or indirectly to a User. For purposes of this Policy, there is no meaningful distinction between the terms "personal information" and "personal data."
- Personal Information Collected - General. We collect the following items of personal information from Users:
- name
- birthday
- gender
- profile and gameplay content you create (photos, videos, chat, posts, match results)
- approximate or precise location, when you allow location access
- device identifiers, push notification tokens, and diagnostics
- purchase and subscription records for optional paid features and event fees
- health and fitness data, only if you connect Apple Health or Health Connect (workouts, heart rate, calories, distance, and steps)
- Sensitive Personal Information. We do not collect government ID numbers or payment card PAN ourselves. If you connect Health Sync, we process health and fitness data with your permission. That data is used to attach workouts to your pickleball matches and to show fitness analytics in the app. We do not use it to diagnose, treat, or make medical claims, and we do not sell it.
- Personal Information Collected - General. We collect the following items of personal information from Users:
- Collection of Personal Information.
- Submission from User. Certain items of personal information we rely on you to submit to us. When a user creates their account, they provide their email address, name, birthday, and gender.
- From your device (with permission). Location (to find nearby play and courts), camera (to scan player QR codes), and photo library (to share images in feed and chat). You can deny these permissions and still use most of the app.
- From Apple Health / Health Connect (optional). If you enable Health Sync, we read pickleball-related workouts and related metrics. We do not write health data back to those platforms.
- From app stores and payment processors. Subscription status and event payments are processed by Apple, Google, Stripe, and/or RevenueCat. We do not store full card numbers.
- Processing Bases. Pursuant to Art. 6 of the GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases to process your personal information:
- User Consent: When you give permission to process your personal information, including location, camera, photos, and Health Sync.
- Contract: To provide the PickleX account, matches, leagues, tournaments, and paid features you request.
- Use of Personal Information. In general, we use your personal information to:
- Maintain your account and keep track of any purchases made by you;
- Authenticate your account credentials and identify you to log in to PickleX;
- Personalize your experience in the app;
- Show nearby play, courts, and location-specific content when you allow location;
- Attach optional Health Sync workouts to matches and show fitness analytics;
- Process subscriptions and event payments through our payment providers;
- Send you marketing communications about services and products offered by PickleX, BITCODERS LLC and affiliate companies of BITCODERS LLC, as permitted by law;
- Improve the customer service we provide, your personal information may be used for review and quality control purposes;
- Create de-identified personal information to be used by us; and
- Use for any other reason you consent to.
- Electronic Communications. Consistent with this Privacy Policy and as is permitted by applicable law, we may communicate with you via electronic messages, including email. We receive notice when you open an email or click a link within a marketing email.
- Disclosure of Personal Information to Third-Parties. We disclose the personal information we collect (or otherwise generate or obtain) for the following purposes:
- Service providers. We use vendors that process data on our behalf, including Google Firebase (authentication, crash reporting, analytics, and file storage), Stripe, RevenueCat, Apple, and Google (sign-in, in-app purchases, and Health platforms). These providers process data only as needed to operate PickleX.
- Social Media Providers. Disclosure of your personal information may be made to social media providers when you link your social media accounts to PickleX.
- In the event of a corporate transaction. We may disclose or transfer your information to a third party if we sell, transfer, divest, or disclose all or a portion of our business or assets to another company in connection with or during negotiation of any merger, financing, acquisition, bankruptcy, dissolution, transaction, or proceeding.
- Use to protect against, investigate and deter fraudulent activity. When necessary, your personal information may be disclosed to third parties for the purpose of protecting against, investigating and deterring fraudulent, as well as unauthorized or illegal, activity.
- Defend our legal rights. To protect and defend the legal rights of PickleX, and PickleX's employees, we may disclose your personal information. We may also require your personal information to defend against legal claims, or to establish our legal rights.
- To comply with and as required by law. We may disclose your personal information to government authorities or other relevant third parties in order to comply with applicable legal requirements, judicial proceedings, court orders, subpoenas, legal process, or lawful requests from governmental authorities.
- At your request. We also share your information as directed or requested by you, or subject to your consent. In some circumstances, you may have the right to opt-out or object to our sharing of your information with certain third parties.
- The Ability of Others to View Your Information. When you use the Website, certain information you post or provide on the publicly available portions of the Website may become publicly available and may be collected and used by others, including people outside of the control of the Website. We have no obligations with respect to any information that you post to publicly available parts of the Website.
- Cross Border Transfer Safeguards. Third party intermediaries are contractually obligated to maintain the confidentiality of all personal information received from us, and to delete the information from their systems as soon as the transfer is complete.
- Retention of Personal Information. Unless there is something in this Policy to the contrary, we may retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described herein. Your email address, name, birthday, and gender will be retained for as long as your account exists. We may also retain your personal information as necessary to comply with legal requirements and obligations, defend our rights, resolve conflicts, improve our website, address complaints, and enforce contracts.
- Storage of Credit Card Information. We do not store your credit card or debit card information ourselves. We do not access such information for other purposes without your permission. While credit or debit card information is safeguarded through our third-party service provider, no method of electronic storage is 100% and we cannot guarantee its absolute security. When your credit or debit card account information is being transmitted through our Website, it will be protected by security protocols.
- Social Media. We may allow you to link the account you create on PickleX to your social media accounts to: Authenticating users. When you link your account, we may collect items of personal information from your social media, including email, username, age, gender, friends. We will only share your personal information with social media operators when you link your account. Further disclosure will only be done with your express permission.
- Third Party Links. PickleX may contain links to other sites that are not owned or controlled by BITCODERS LLC. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such other websites and this Privacy Policy does not apply to any other sites. We make no representation regarding the privacy practices of any other sites regardless of whether we advertise on those sites or provide a link to those sites from our Website.

- Consent. For any personal information that is collected, used or processed pursuant to your consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us by one of the methods listed below. Withdrawal of your consent will not affect the use or collection of your personal information prior to your withdrawal. You may withdraw your consent by contacting us by one of the methods listed below.
- Ability to Unsubscribe From Marketing Emails. You may "opt-out" of electronic communications from us by www.picklex.io/unsubscribe or any method described in the electronic communication. You may also contact us through the methods described below to unsubscribe from email communications. This applies to promotional communications and not administrative communications we feel are necessary to provide the services on the Website.
- Sharing with Third Parties. We do not automatically share your personal information with third party service providers without your consent, except for any such disclosures that are necessary to fulfill the services you contracted for with us to provide through the Website. All other disclosures to third party business service providers are only made through your affirmative actions, by indicating on the Website that you are interested in third party services. To prevent the disclosure of your personal information to these third party service providers, do not opt-in for the service.
- Account deletion. You may delete your account in the PickleX app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account) or by emailing support@picklex.io. More detail is atwww.picklex.io/support.
- Corrections to Personal Information. If you would like to update the information you have provided to us, please contact us via the method listed below.
- Do-Not-Track Requests. "Do-Not-Track" is a web browser setting that sends a signal instructing the website not to track a user. PickleX currently does not have a mechanism to respond to "Do-Not-Track" requests.
- Revisions. This Privacy Policy may be revised from time to time. We will post any such changes to this page and may otherwise post other alerts on the Website or communicate such changes through email. If you disagree with any such changes, please cease using the Website. Continued use following the posting of any such changes indicates your acceptance of the changes. If we make any changes to this Privacy Policy that materially impact previously collected personal information about you, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice and obtain consent to any such changes as may be required by law.
- Minors. Minors under the age of 13 may not use the Website. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age. Additionally, we recommend that users between the ages of 13 and 18 ask their parents for permission before sending any information about themselves to anyone over the Internet.
